Notes on Flood Hazard Overlay Maps ─
*The Flood Hazard Overlay Maps identify areas (flooding and inundation areas) where flood and storm tide modelling has been undertaken by the Council. Other areas not identified by the Flood Hazard Overlay Maps may also be subject to the defined flood event (DFE) or defined storm tide event (DSTE). Development occurring in such areas will also be assessable against the Flood Hazard overlay code. Definitions of DFE and DSTE are provided in Schedule 1 (Definitions).

The Declared Master Planned Areas (Maroochydore & Palmview) layer identifies the Maroochydore Principle Regional Activity Centre (PRAC) and the Palmview Master Planned Area for the purposes of Part 10 (Other Plans) of the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014. The Priority Development Area (Maroochydore City Centre) layer and the Priority Development Area (Caloundra South) layer identify Priority Development Areas which are subject to the Economic Development Act 2012. The Land within Development Control Plan – Kawana Waters layer identifies the Land within Development Control Plan – Kawana Waters which is the subject of the Kawana Waters Development Agreement.
